DESERT DASH NAMIBIA
Crossing the world´s oldest desert.
In a year where Covid19 has disrupted many regular aspects of life also sport and physical activity was limited. While most sporting events have been cancelled or postponed, the Nedbank Desert Dash in Namibia was taking place in December 2020. 1000 mountainbikers signed up to race the 373 km through the oldest desert of the world in 24 hours. From Windhoek to Swakopmund they had to fight dust, deep sand and darkness and show endurance, a strong mind and physical resilience. The race was all about teamwork, pushing hard, finding joy in the small moments and holding it together as well as being with and in nature. These are the same aspects we have learned and appreciated more clearly during the year 2020.
